Othello is one of Shakespeare's most controversial works. The play has been used to deconstruct and to endorse racism and gendered violence at different points since it was written. In this film, we follow a female group of actors from Italy as they push the boundaries of language, race, and gender to its limits in an attempt to create an Italian language gender swapped version of the play.
